It was just any other day being grounded, no games, no computer, all I had to entertain myself was my iPod Touch. But that never lasted me too much fun. So then I started searching around my little drawers for something else to do, seeing how there was so much stuff in there I haven't seen in ages. I actually found something! It was my old Gameboy Micro, which had Pokemon Ruby inside of it. A wave of nostalgia flew through my entire body, I couldn't help but turning it on and playing it.
To my surprise, it was still fully charged. I had my cousin's old save on there, "Troy." All he had were a few level 100's and his game was already beaten. So I decided to restart it, seeing how he probably doesn't even remember the thing in the first place.
I've been reading creepy stories, so I decided to try to make my game a little creepy. So I named my person "
" which was based off of a story I read, along with my Pokemon, Mudkip, which was also named "
" because I couldn't think of anything else.
First thing I did was the entire beginning, then I realized I haven't caught any other Pokemon. All I had was my little Mudkip, which wouldn't last forever. I entered a large cave. Nothing was found, except near the ending of the cave, which was a female Mawile with abnormally red eyes. I didn't really care much when I saw it, I just thought it was cool looking. So, naturally, I caught it with my only Pokeball. I couldn't believe I caught it in the first place. I named the little girl "SOUL" in all capital letters.
When I started to train SOUL, things got strange. Rather the game saying "--- has fainted!" it said "--- has died!"
Pokemon don't die in the game, they only faint. I got attached to her, nonetheless. Killing Pokemon rather than causing them to faint? Coolest thing that's ever happened to me!
We trained, and trained, and trained. Killing, and killing, and killing everyone in our path. Whether we fought them or not. Leaving fear, death, and enough blood to supply an entire blood bank in our path. We were unstoppable.
The next day, I decided to go on again. I went to my Pokemon to see if SOUL was still that way. Of course, she was. Only, her eyes were hollowed black and her teeth had blood dripping out of them. I simply smirked. I loved it. I looked to my Mudkip. He was dead. There wasn't a picture of the Mudkip, only a puddle of blood, and little blue parts of, what I assumed, was his skin. I then left the screen.
I suddenly got a message from SOUL. It said, "SOUL: Are you mad at me, Master?" I was confused on why she called me "Master," but then I thought it was cute, in a twisted way. And up came a "YES" "NO" box. Seeing how nice I have to be, I pressed "NO." But to be honest, I wasn't mad. I was happy. Why would I even need him anymore? He was useless to me since I found SOUL, so he was a weak link.
Suddenly, I saw SOUL jump out from the Pokeball and was behind me. A message, once again, came up saying "SOUL would like to follow you!" I thought it was awesome, seeing how I've never seen a Pokemon follow me since Pokemon Yellow. So I walked around.
Whenever I entered a building, a message entered the screen asking "Can SOUL eat?" I never said "NO" to it. Not once, every time I entered a building, I'd have SOUL kill them all. Even in gyms, walk in, kill them all, walk up to the gym leader's carcass and take the badge. I did this to every room, except when I got to the Elite Four.
I found a move "Torture" on SOUL's move list. It's description was "Hurt, but don't kill, destroying the spirit of the Pokemon and owner. Only able to be used in a trainer battle." And "Eat." Which was exactly what it's called. SOUL would eat the Pokemon with its' gigantic jaw. I couldn't help myself but to use Torture till the Pokemon were at 1 HP, just to see the sadness in those trainers' sprite, it felt amazing.
Hell, call me crazy all you want, I am crazy. But I couldn't help myself but to laugh at those sprites' agony.
I tortured, mutilated, and killed the Elite Four. I went to my hometown, but then I had to sleep. So I had to wait till the next day.
And, man. I had the oddest nightmare. I saw SOUL killing my family, friends, and everyone I knew. I was horrified by it. Then I woke up at about 4:00 in the morning when I heard SOUL say "I hunger. Awaken, Master." in my nightmare.
I took my Gameboy, looked at SOUL, and it showed it learned two new moves. "Nightmare" and "Perish Song." Now, this was the only time I got scared about a game.
I did the math. SOUL was using Nightmare, and Torturing, Killing, and everything in between to me in my dreams. But the thing that really scared me was Perish Song. When I thought about it, SOUL is now a part of me. Perish Song is what it will do if I disobey. She'll use Perish Song and kill me with it as soon as I decide to ignore her.
I was too scared to go into my Mom's house in the game. That nightmare made me so scared to do anything. I went in, hoping nothing would happen. The usual message came up "Can SOUL eat?" I indecisively pressed "YES."
When I pressed "YES," I heard my front door open, a scream, and felt my blood run cold when I saw
